Why We Started Will & Syd's Kitchen
The real story behind the channel — told from both sides of the camera.

We didn't start this channel to go viral. We started it because after ten years of cooking together, we realized our kitchen had become a little ritual — Syd reading recipes out loud while Will cleaned as he went, both of us arguing good-naturedly about whether the sauce needed more acid.
The first video was filmed on a phone propped against a bag of rice. The second was a disaster — we forgot to hit record. By the fifth we had a tripod and a system. By the twentieth, strangers on the internet were telling us our weeknight chicken had become their weeknight chicken too.
That's still the whole point. We're not chefs. We're two people who cook almost every night, and we want this site to be the thing we wished existed: real recipes that work the first time, honest reviews of viral trends, and the leftover tricks that actually save you a meal the next day.
