We're Will and Syd. We started this site because after a decade of cooking together almost every night, our kitchen had turned into something like a ritual — and we wanted to share the recipes, tricks, and tools that actually work in a real home kitchen.

We're not trained chefs. We're obsessive home cooks who test every recipe three times, argue about whether the sauce needs more acid, and clean as we go (most nights).

Everything you see here is something we actually make. The viral recipes we test — we really try them. The cookware we recommend — it's on our counter. The leftover hacks — they come from our fridge at 10pm on a Wednesday.
