Sugar Cookies

• 2 1/4 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 3/4 cup butter
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg, room temperature
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp almond extract or another flavor

Icing

• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 3 tbsp milk
• 1/2 tbsp corn syrup
• 1/2 tsp vanilla or almond extract

   Combine dry ingredients.

   Soften or melt butter, then mix in sugar.

   Add egg and extracts to the wet mixture, then combine with dry ingredients.

   Chill dough for at least 1–2 hours.

   Mix icing ingredients together.

   Cut dough with a cookie cutter and bake at 350°F for 10–11 minutes.
